During the internship period of my degree I, along with two other colleagues, was instructed to come up with an animated version of a poster drawn by Margarida Ferreira, for the purposes of our Graduation's animation festival. We ended up doing the rough animation that served as a guide for Margarida to draw over, so that the aesthetics of the animation would better match that of the poster. I was in charge of the animation for the main shoal of fish, that would serve as a transition. I also helped doing and refining the Layout for the whole animation. And finally, I did some of the compositing and editing for the final version of the animation, along with the music and sound design.
This was my very first animation test for our (Beatriz Rodrigues, LetÃcia Lopes, Tiago Pedrosa) Graduation Film. It was done in a very short time and the objective was to get an ideia of how complicated it was going to be to animate the whole film. I'm still very happy for how it turned out, given the amount of time I had to work with.
"The Money Shot.mp4". During the production of the Graduation Film, like it happens in most film productions, alot of sequences were cut or added or altered multiple times. This one was one the sections that was added along the production and ended up being one of the most important shots of the whole film and thus it took the longest to get right. And even though I like the end result, I feel we could have arrived at this stage much quicker if we had been better at communicating between eachother.
